How Sooma tDCS™ works
Depression and chronic pain affect millions of people, and many still struggle to find a treatment that truly works for them.
Sooma tDCS™ is a CE-certified medical device that gently stimulates the brain. You use it at home, guided by the Sooma App.
How the stimulation works
Sooma uses a technique called tDCS, short for transcranial direct current stimulation. It is a gentle, non-invasive way to stimulate your brain without medication.
A soft cap holds two electrode pads against your head. It sends a weak, constant current directly to the specific area involved in mood regulation or pain perception.
The current gently nudges the brain cells there, making them a little more ready to be active. It does not force them to fire, allowing natural processes to take over.
This supports healthier patterns of brain activity, and the effect builds up over repeated sessions. Each session takes about 30 minutes, and most people feel only a mild tingling.
